Reformer Pilates FAQs

Practical answers to the questions clients most often ask before attending.

Is Reformer Pilates suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. Book a Beginner Reformer class and your instructor will explain the equipment and guide you through the foundations. You do not need previous Pilates experience.
What if I already have Reformer experience?
You do not necessarily need to start in a Beginner class. Experienced clients may book Mixed Ability or Advanced, depending on their previous training and confidence. Contact us if you are unsure.
How many people are in each class?
Crowthorne classes have a maximum of 8 people and Lower Earley Reformer classes have a maximum of 9.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, fitted exercise clothing that allows you to move freely. Avoid loose items that may catch in the equipment.
Do I need grip socks?
Yes. Grip socks are required for Reformer classes for hygiene and safety. They are available to buy from the studio if needed.
How long is a class?
Classes are approximately 55 minutes.
How early should I arrive?
Please arrive around five minutes before class. If you are new, this gives your instructor time to welcome you and help you get settled.
How often should I attend?
Many clients begin with one or two classes each week. Consistency matters more than doing a large number of sessions at once.
Can I do Reformer Pilates with an injury or back problem?
It depends on the condition and where you are in your recovery. Please contact us before booking if you have a current injury, recent surgery or have been advised to restrict movement. A private session may sometimes be a better starting point.
Is Reformer Pilates just for women?
No. Reformer Pilates is suitable for men and women and can support strength, mobility, posture and sporting performance.
Is parking available?
Yes. Free parking is available at both our Lower Earley and Crowthorne studios.
What is your cancellation policy?
We operate a 24 hour cancellation policy. Late cancellations and missed classes will result in the class credit being lost.
