Raj Marjara - Your Pilates instructor

My first encounter with Pilates was after numerous visits to doctors and Osteopaths for my lower back it was the price I was paying for having 3 children the last being a c section, my body was telling me something!

My Osteopath encouraged me to try Pilates to help strengthen my lower back, so I started attending classes almost 3 years ago.

It didn’t take long before I noticed an improvement after only 3 months; I found doing my daily chores was no longer painful on my back, the increased flexibility in my spine, muscles and joints was what I needed to put me on the road to recovery.

The difference it was making to my every day life was amazing, my passion for Pilates grew and grew, until I finally decided to take the next step and packed in my office job to train as a full time Pilates instructor.

I enjoy teaching the Power of Pilates classes as we hold the same ethos on Pilates; they understand that Pilates is a personal experience and therefore ensure that all the class sizes are limited to allow for individual attention. The exercises are progressive which means every one works within their own capabilities - I will always encourage you to work smarter and not harder as the repetition and precision is used to cement good movement into the brain.
