Move of the month…

Help, I can't find my pelvic floor!

Try this...

Stand naked in front of a mirror, side on. Look at your belly, right under the belly button. Now, without tilting your pelvis or moving anything else, lift your pelvic floor, or if you're not sure how to do that - squeeze all you've got like you're desperate to go to the bathroom, but have to wait. Keep your bum muscles relaxed, this is not a glute contraction!

Did you see your belly pull in just a little bit? That's your Transversus working. The muscle will get stronger with practice and you can practice anywhere, so next time you are typing up a report, driving home or watching your favourite tv programme, give it a go!
